Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX/Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable automation frameworks and delivering comprehensive functional, regression, and API test coverage .
Rate Range: $41/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Software Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable test automation solutions for functional, regression, and API testing.
Build, customize, deploy, and manage test automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and industry best practices.
Ensure extensive test coverage by developing high-quality automation code and executing multithreaded test runs.
Perform debugging, defect triage, and database test automation to ensure system reliability and performance.
Collaborate within agile scrum teams, clearly presenting test results, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Create and maintain test documentation such as test plans, strategies, and post-test reports while meeting tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
6–8 years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer in Test or Automation Engineer.
Strong expertise in Java-based test automation using Selenium, TestNG, and automation design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model).
Proven experience in API and database testing, working in agile scrum environments, and delivering high-quality automation frameworks under tight deadlines.
