What You’ll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff (including staffing agency employees)
• Own daily operations—planning, assigning, and directing work to meet productivity and safety goals
• Ensure smooth, efficient flow of drivers, vendors, and visitors through the facility
• Maintain and inspect warehouse equipment (forklifts, packaging machinery, etc.) and coordinate repairs with vendors
• Oversee facility conditions, including building structure and rail tracks, and escalating issues proactively
• Use Norfolk Southern's system to manage inventory accuracy and railcar movements — training will be provided.
• Partner with Corporate teams and interact with customers during site visits—your communication matters
• Drive smart waste management practices (recycling, resale, disposal)
• Ensure supplies are always stocked, and operations run without interruption
• Champion safety, compliance, and operational excellence in everything you do
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and help implement better, faster ways of working
• Enforce company policies and resolve operational challenges with confidence.

What You Bring

• 1-5 years of warehouse supervision or team leadership experience
• Proven knowledge of warehouse policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Strong organizational and people management skills
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to balance multiple tasks, projects, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Hands-on leadership style with a passion for developing teams.
