Responsibilities
- First Piece Inspection: Verify the initial setup of a production run against blueprints and CAD models to ensure the process is capable of holding tolerances.
- In-Process Inspection: Perform floor audits and periodic checks during the manufacturing run to catch deviations before they become scrap.
- Final Inspection: Conduct a comprehensive last look at finished metal components, ensuring all dimensions, finishes, and treatments meet customer specifications.
- Equipment Mastery: Utilize a variety of precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and [CMM / Optical Comparators if applicable].
- Documentation: Maintain detailed inspection reports and non-conformance reports (NCRs) to track quality trends.
